LA – 1 TWO DAY JUNIOR BUCK HUNT, FOR A 10-14 YEARS OLD ON HISTORIC SANTA ROSA ISLAND. YOUTH TO BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT
The mule deer buck is to be 2x2 or 2x3. Charter to the island is about $650 per person leaving from Camarillo, CA. Can be upgraded to include cow elk for $500. The adult observer cost is included in the trip. Hunting license, hunter safety, and non-lead ammo required. Dates of trip are January 14-16, 2011.

LA – 2 FIVE DAY FLYFISHING IN ALASKA FOR TWO
This trip for silver salmon will take place on the Akwe River. Camps are wall tents with floors and heaters. Includes all lodging, meals, guiding and flight to camp from Yakutat. Does not include Alaska sport fishing license or transportation to/from Yakutat. The value of this trip is $8,400 ($4,200 per client), but Fran and John are offering a special price in support of our chapter and additional clients may be added at $3,950 each. John Latham is a charter member of our chapter and an annual contributor to our Auction. John and his wife, Fran, are owners and hosts of the Blue Heron Inn at Yakutat Bay and will provide you with an outstanding experience. Fishing trip dates are July or September, 2010.

LA – 3 FIVE DAY, 3X1 GUIDED HUNT FOR ONE HUNTER AND ONE NON-HUNTER FOR FREE RANGING TROPHY WHITETAIL DEER IN SOUTH EAST IOWA’S FAMED BIG-BUCK COUNTRY NEAR SPERRY, IOWA FOR 2012
Bow and gun hunters have enjoyed success rates of 75% on trophy bucks scoring from 130 to over 200 SCI with a 6 year average score of 142. In 2009 hunters enjoyed a 100% success rate on bucks ranging 132 to 186 SCI. The hunter is responsible for the hunting license ($530) and gratuities. The hunt includes lodging, meals, guide service, and local hunt transportation. The outfitter will assist with tag application for draw (zone 6, May 1 deadline). Bow hunters usually draw 3rd year and gun hunters the 2nd year. Additional hunters at the regular price of $5,500 and additional observers at $200 per day. Airport arrival, Moline Illinois, hunt Sperry, Iowa. The hunt year is dependent upon drawing the tag, but expect 2012, November to December.

LA – 9 SEVEN DAY PLAINS GAME SAFARI FOR TWO HUNTERS
Includes $675 trophy credit per hunter. You will be the only hunters on this hunt nestled deep in the Limpopo area. Includes pick up and drop off at airport, meals, laundry, field prep and guided by registered guides. Does not include firearms permit, prep and documentation of trophies for shipping, trophy fees other than credit, air travel or accommodations before or after the hunt. $1,000 deposit per client required with booking. Hunt must take place in the 2010/2011 season.

LA – 10 FOUR DAYS, ONE HUNTER, FOR ONE CHAMOIS IN NEW ZEALAND
This hunt is for free range chamois on private land with excellent trophies. No helicopters are used. Hunt includes the chamois trophy fee, food, transport and accommodations upon arrival in New Zealand. Non hunters are welcome at $200 per day and hunt may be upgraded. Rifle permit of $25 not included. Arrival and departure from Timaru NZ Airport.
The hunt must be taken in the 2010 season.

This painting had the honor of being awarded first place in the 2009 endangered species art contest and will be displayed for one year on the endangered species day website.

LA – 13 MONTANA HIGH VALLEY RANCH VACATION
A 7-day stay for six persons at the Poole’s High Valley Ranch in the South Madison. Nestled in its private setting with a spectacular view of the Rockies, you will stay in the fully equipped guest cabin with two bedrooms and a large loft. Activities include high-country hiking, horseback riding, fishing the private lake for rainbows, the Blue-Ribbon Madison River, or any of the numerous lakes in the region. You’ll want to visit Ennis, an old western town 35 miles north. Sights within a short drive are Yellowstone National Park, Virginia City, Lewis & Clark Caverns, the specialty shops of Bozeman and its fascinating Museum of the Rockies. LA – 14 YOUTH SAFARI (18 AND UNDER) IN THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA
Two youth hunters and two non-hunters will enjoy the thrill of African hunting, African culture, a skinning and tracking course and interaction with local tribes. Includes $2,000 per youth hunter towards trophy fees, 1x1 or 2x1, skinning and tracking course, comfortable chalets, all meals, soft drinks, accommodations, daily laundry, and ground transport during the safari in hunting areas. Hunt may be upgraded. Valid 2010 or 2011.

LA – 15 6 x 6 DAY HUNT FOR TWO HUNTERS AND TWO OBSERVERS IN THE RSA
This hunt includes 4 trophies to be shared between the two hunters, 1 nyala, 1 Cape eland, 1 impala, and 1 mountain reedbuck. The hunt duration totals 12 days and 6 days credit are donated for the hunting party. This hunt also includes services of professional hunters and skinners and trackers, 1 hunting vehicle per hunter (1x1 or 2x1) and their observers, accommodation and meals, field preparation and transportation to forwarding agent, and daily laundry. The donation does not include airport transfers ($600) per vehicle, taxidermy, gratuities, air charter, extra vehicles, all alcoholic beverages, 14% VAT on daily rates and services, and additional touring. LA – 16 TEN DAY HUNT FOR TWO HUNTERS IN LIMPOPO PROVINCE, SOUTH AFRICA HUNTING AREAS
Each hunter to shoot the following 10 animals (20 animals in total): 1x Cape Eland, 1x Waterbuck, 1x Kudu, 1x Zebra, 1x Gemsbuck, 1x Red Hartebeest, 1x Blue Wildebeest, 1x Impala, 1x Warthog, 1x Steenbuck. Air fare and taxidermy charges for 10 trophies each are donated. Clients pay day rates and trophy fees and are required to shoot 10 named trophies each. A $1,000 credit for each hunter is donated for day rates and an additional $1,000 credit is donated for each hunter for trophy fees. Hunt 2010 or 2011.

With a $1,100 trophy fee credit per hunter. Includes accommodations, meals, permits, laundry, and field prep. This hunt also includes a visit to the San Bushmen to see their traditions. Airport transportation is another $250 per hunter/ observer (Windhoek). Additional days run $350 per hunter and $150 per observer. Trophies are per the price list after the trophy fee credit is used. LA – 20 MONTANA BISON HUNT, 11⁄2 DAYS, FOR ONE HUNTER
Includes a tour of the Flying D Ranch the afternoon before the hunt, field transportation and preparation, lunch, delivering the meat to a processor and the head and hide to local taxidermist, Jerry Andres. Additional hunters are welcome for the normal price of $4,000. The ranch is rich in game including elk, white tail deer, mule deer, moose, black bear, and wolves. Two people can hunt per day so if 3 or more hunters come the trip will be extended. Not included are lodging, meals except for lunch on the hunting day, meat processing, and taxidermy. Hunt for best robes, end of June to September 1, 2010.

Fine Art Print based on a photograph by Michael R. Anderson. Printed on canvas with pigment based ink just for the San Diego Chapter, Safari Club International. This photo was captured near Lincoln City, Oregon on the Siletz River from the backyard of the artist's home. The house in the piece was featured in the 1970 movie "Sometimes a Great Notion" starring Paul Newman, Henry Fonda and Lee Remick. Will include a description piece signed by the artist and personalized for the winner of the piece.
