This past weekend the San Diego Chapter of NWTF held their Mentored Youth Turkey Hunt. The San Diego Chapter of Safari Club International helps sponsor this youth event

Board President, Steve Turgliatto gave the following recap: ” Great week-end with 20 NWTF youth mentored turkey hunters. The final count was 3 turkeys taken, 4 missed shots, a few missed opportunities, and a couple of jakes that got a pass. Most the kids at heard gobbles or saw turkeys. I’d like to thank all the NWTF mentors, San Diego Parks & Rec, and Safari Club International San Diego Chapter for their sponsorship.”
